New SUNY Chancellor Visits Campus

SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson made her first visit to the OCC campus Wednesday, November 29. Her day began in Coulter Hall where she met with area high school superintendents and participated in a meeting with the College’s Executive Council. The Chancellor toured the newly renovated Coulter Library, the Gallery at the Ann Felton Center, the Academic II building and the Gordon Student Center. Chancellor Johnson and College President Casey Crabill held a media availability in the Whitney Applied Technology Center before heading to the SRC Arena for a working lunch with elected officials and area college presidents.

The Chancellor was joined on her visit by Johanna Duncan-Poitier, SUNY’s Senior Vice Chancellor for Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline, and Peter Velz, SUNY’s Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Affairs.
