What’s Happening During 3rd Week of Fall Classes at OCC

As we come down from the excitement of the first two weeks, we get settled into classes and finding our way here at OCC. That doesn’t mean things stop happening here at OCC. Here’s what’s happening for week 3 of classes!

Monday, September 10th, 2018

11:15 A.M. – 12:15 P.M. (College Hour) — History Club will be meeting in Mawhinney Hall Room 245, if you like moments from the past and are looking for a club to help boost your historical knowledge, we definitely recommend History Club.

11:15 A.M. – 12:15 P.M. (College Hour) — Do you want to study abroad? Come to Mawhinney Hall Room 345, and hear stories from other students that have studied abroad, as well as time for a few professors to discuss upcoming opportunities to study abroad!

Tuesday, September 11th, 2018

3:45 P.M. – 4:35 P.M. — Join OCC’s Improvisation Ensemble. Explore making music in the moment, learn how to facilitate improvised music, and much more. This is happening in P100 located in Academic II. (They are looking for all instruments, all voices, musical styles, and more!)

Wednesday, September 12th, 2018

9:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. — We will be holding our second #FreeIfYouCanFindMe event. Check @onondagacc on Instagram for more information, and the location! Get free food you take to go or eat on the spot.

11:00A.M. – 12:30 P.M.— We will be having Refugees discussing changes in the US Immigration Policies and the Impact it has on our Country. (This is a panel discussion) Check it out in Mawhinney Hall Room 245

11:15 A.M. – 12:15 P.M. (College Hour) — Join the OCC Players if you are interested in any aspect of stage production!

Friday, September 14th, 2018

11:15 A.M. – 12:15 P.M. (College Hour) — The First General Assembly Meeting will be held in Coulter 116, We encourage you to attend the meeting, and meet the students that make up the Student Government!

If you are a student that lives on campus, and you are looking for things to do outside of class, please check with your Residence Hall Director or RA to find out what events and and activities are happening within the Residence Halls.

Also if you have any events that you would like us to feature on our weekly blog please reach out to socialmedia@sunyocc.edu with all the information about the event, as well as meetings that your club or group may be having here on campus. Have a great 3rd week of classes Lazers!
