Daniel Baldwin knows the dangers of addiction. The actor, producer and director has lived through drug dependency and recovery. His passion now is helping families struggling with addiction.
Baldwin will host a discussion titled, “Opioid Crisis in CNY: Building Awareness.” The event will be held Monday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the SRC Arena on the OCC campus. Drug overdoses are the leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 50. In 2016 more Americans died of drug overdoses than died in the entirety of the Vietnam War.
Baldwin’s presentation is free and open to the entire Central New York community, especially high school students and their parents.
