Celebrating Academic Excellence

OCC’s chapter of international honor society Phi Theta Kappa has 98 new members. The students were inducted during a ceremony October 30 in Storer Auditorium. The event included a welcome from PTK Vice President for Leadership Carrie Daignault, congratulatory remarks from OCC President Casey Crabill, a year in review by PTK Advisor Annie Tuttle and comments about the PTK experience from chapter president Blake Carter. Russ Corbin, the college’s Assistant Director of Alumni Relations was presented with an honorary PTK membership. Members of the college’s Music department including pianist Thomas Nguyen, Music Professor David Rudari and the Vocal Chamber Ensemble performed throughout the event.

OCC’s PTK chapter is located on the second floor of Coulter Hall in suite 204. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 to be invited to join.
