Joe Librandi-Cowan’s hometown is the subject of the latest gallery exhibit in the Ann Felton Center. Librandi-Cowan is a native of Auburn, a city which is home to a maximum-security prison. The prison and its thirty-five-foot high walls are in the middle of the city. In the exhibit titled, “The Auburn System,” Librandi-Cowan explores the relationship between the prison and its neighbors. Some live across from the prison’s walls while others have worked behind them.
Librandi-Cowan is an OCC alumnus. His work will be on-display until April 11. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can view a slideshow of some of his work below.
