The Architect: Brian Hanson, ’81

Brian is a partner in the architecture firm Architecteam which has designed buildings across New York State. Their most notable local designs include the Geneva Tower for Upstate Medical University and Syracuse University’s Goldstein Student Center. Hanson credits the College with making a profound impact on his life. “OCC was a great foundation for me. When you visualize a building everything you see is only as good as the foundation it is built upon. For me the OCC experience put me on the correct path to succeed once an opportunity came my way.” Hanson and his wife Aimee have five children. Their son Ivan was named curriculum honoree in the Architectural Technology major in 2015.
