Jerry Farnett’s office in Mawhinney Hall resembles a closet this time of the year. It’s the home of the College’s annual winter coat drive. Coats are piled up in every nook and cranny of the office. “People have been so supportive. It’s wonderful,” said Farnett. At the end of the semester the coats will be distributed to students who need them. Last year’s effort resulted in 100 winter coats being donated. If you have a winter coat in good shape you’d like to donate you can bring it to Farnett’s office in room 186C of Mawhinney. Farnett, who is the College’s Evening Program Coordinator, also accepts professional clothing for students throughout the year. If you have any questions about what is needed you can contact Farnett at firstname.lastname@example.org or 498-2918.
