More than 800 high school students from across Central New York came to OCC Friday, November 6 for the College’s fall Open House.
The SRC Arena and Events Center was home base for the event. It’s where students signed in, enjoyed a welcome from College President Dr. Casey Crabill, attended workshops on important topics such as financial aid and the admissions process, and where campus and residence hall tours departed from and returned to.
The Open House also afforded perspective students and family members the opportunity to walk the OCC campus and visit the classrooms where they would be learning. Highlights included the brand new Whitney Commons for Business Administration majors, the machine shop where Mechanical Technology majors learn their craft, the television studio which is part of the Electronic Media Communications major, and the home of New York State’s most successful Surgical Technology program.
