Her life was the subject of a movie titled, “Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story.” Now she’s bringing her story to the OCC campus.
Liz Murray will be speaking with the campus community Tuesday, November 3rd at 10 a.m. in Storer Auditorium. Murray grew up with poor, drug-addicted parents in the Bronx. She became homeless when her mother died and her father moved into a shelter. Murray persevered, graduated from high school and received a scholarship to attend Harvard University. In 2010 Murray released the New York Times bestselling memoir “Breaking Night.”
Today she is a motivational speaker and founder and director of Manifest Living. Murray’s presentation here is free and open to the campus community.
