Wellness Champions

OCC employees who participated in the SUNY Wellness Challenge were treated to an awards ceremony May 18. Prizes were handed out following an 8-week-long competition which utilized a team approach to encourage building healthier lifestyles and workplaces. Four-person teams earned points by tracking their steps, engaging in exercise routines, eating five fruits and vegetables a day and tracking how much weight they lost.

Honorees included (left to right): Pam Stepien who recorded more steps than any other competitor, Laurie Updegrove who lost more weight by percentage than any other employee, and Kathy McCadden and Enid Reiley who were members of winning team "2 Tri 4 Fitness."
