Sara Rounds is a non-traditional student who is enjoying everything OCC has to offer. “I have a much larger appreciation for my education and all of OCC’s resources. I’m not sure a younger me would have realized or taken advantage of it.”
Rounds graduated from Central Square High School in 1999. After more than a decade working in customer service and becoming a parent she decided to come to OCC. She started taking classes in 2011. Today she is a Business Administration major, serves as secretary for the Business Club and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, OCC’s student honor society.
Rounds plans to graduate in December 2014 and pursue a job in the corporate world. In the meantime she’s hoping to leave behind a new program at OCC which would benefit future students. Rounds is working with the Career and Applied Learning Center to start “Dress for Success.” It would provide business apparel for students going to job fairs or on job interviews.
